Re: Laptop setups

For live looping:
Zepto 15", Intel Pentium M 755 2.0 GHz Dothan (Centrino), 1 G ram (so
far, may go for 2 if needed), 60 GB 7200 RPM drive. Indigo Echo i/o
PCMCIA sound card. FCB1010, Faderfox LV1, Faderfox LX1. Pocket size
mic amp + fly mic: Power Module audio-technica (XLR output). I can
easily move this little mic between different instruments. One year
ago I was planning to get a headset for voice and beat-boxing but
then I added flute to my instrument arsenal and now I don't need a
headset an more (hose clip for mic mounted close to mouth on the
flute). TC electronic FireworX for sound shaping before looping (had
to make my own patches, the factory presets were miles awy from my
taste). As software: Mobius, mostly run as standalone (eventual
reverb created "as instrument" in the FireworX and looped as it is).
Istruments used are Alto Travers flute, voice and tenor sax on the
fly mic input (left FireworX input) and electric guitar as direct
line input (right FireworX input).
