Page, Hendrix... You might be able to hit the notes, but there's a
fascinating synergy of primitive muscle, sloppiness with absolute
commitment, blended with innate musicality, which can't really be 
learned...
that's what really makes your style yours. 10 guys play a lick... 9 sound
very similar... one sounds unbelieveable. How did he do that??? Zappa did
that.

Zappa was also very involved in ingenious effects routing, including piezos
under the nut, going direct, etc.
