The UK (and most, if not all, of Europe) is on 220 - 240V AC at 50Hz. Transformers for US voltage/frequency gear are pretty readily available in shops like Maplins if you want a generic solution rather than manufacturers replacement wall warts. I'm running an S-550 sampler and a JV-880 synthesiser off these types of units - they can be quite acoustically buzzy but fine apart from that. If you buy one unit per plug it's quite expensive - slightly larger units that can power several bits of equipment at once are probably a better bet if you've got two or three items that need conversion. Check the power supplies of your equipment though - quite a lot of kit is now either switchable or automatically converts to whatever type of power it receives. - Tony "Gary Lehmann" <hqr@cox.net> wrote: >On a related note-- >We are going to the UK in May, and I wonder about the difference in >voltage. >How does one acquire adapters for their various items?
