Re: ZOE KEATING SIGHTING (WELL ALMOST)

Scott,

Actually . . . I'm in Medford. There is no "scene" in Ashland or here in Medville either.
Though I do play hereabouts every once in a blue while. I drive to Eugene. I drive to
Boise. I drive to Portland. I drive to Santa Cruz, I drive all the way down to Ventura,
Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo to perform with and/or for for folks who are much
more receptive to what I do . . . which is (admittedly) a little outside the norm. Medford
is pretty culturally backward. I'm not from around here . . . but this is where I am.

There are a couple of venues in Ashland that have (within the past year or so) started
to deviate from the classic crock, pop and country mold in this very conservative
little corner of the "State of Jefferson." But, if you are going up to Portland for you musical
and/or looping exposure you are doing well. Even the locals call this Deathford, or
Dreadford (or sometimes Methford). Nearby Ashland (Hashland) is a little more college-y . . .
and they do try to be hip. But they usually only manage to be just a little more hip than
Medford (or in your case, Klamath Falls) which isn't very hard to do . . . or very hip.

If you want to talk, compare notes, or otherwise communicate off-list you now know my
e-mail address. I'm in the local phonebook too . . . for that matter. Long time LDer Dave
Trenkle is up there in Corvalis. David Coffin is over in Coos Bay (or Bandon , or somewhere
on the Oregon Coast). I think there have been a couple of LDers (on and off) up in the
Portland area . . . just so's you don't feel all alone out here in the boondocks. There are a
few of us around -- even if most of us are transplants from other galaxies (as it were).

Peace,

tEd ® kiLLiAn
