Cabs
Yeah, i'm reading even more rave reviews. I just
bought two of the 10" cabs! For only $400 each, no
shipping!
My PA system is now complete...I have two EV
SxA100 Powered 12" cabs for my mains, and now these RCF cabs for monitors, or
smaller coffeeshop/club gigs. I will be curious to hear one of these RCF
cabs with my nylon string guitar too.

I've used them in the past and thought they sounded great. I
didn't know they were still
available!

I talked to a sales
engineer at Sweetwater this morning about purchasing one of the Mackie 10"
powered cabs, and he highly recommended that I buy the new RCF Italian
made cabinets. Apparently, they did some A/B tests this morning between
them and the Mackie's and the RCF's blew them away...and the prices are
really good. Apparently Mackie acquired RCF several years ago
because of their high quality transducers, and then Mackie went off to
change their specs and design, but RCF continued on with their own line
(now separate from Mackie). I guess Mackie farmed their
manufacturing off to China, and RCF remained as they are now in Italy. I
don't know the complexities of the split. Here is an interesting
discussion on the split on the Mackie forum: http://forums.mackie.com/scripts/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=002178/color> (the
comments vary, but a few folks talk highly of the RCF line)./smaller>/fontfamily>
