Yeah I use live too, and SL can be run as a plug-in. I know exactly what you mean though, can't stand staring at a screen all the time and a mouse is a pretty bad interface for musical applications. But many people seem to use MIDI foot controllers with software loopers successfully. I'm just wondering about latency issues and stability which I can see being the main problems.
