It's huge, given I can replace it with a pair of CV expression pedals, but the field effect is useful. I can use it as a dual CV output either like playing a theremin normally, or if I am playing another instrument and don't have hands free, or need fast response, I can lean into the field as needed. Either way, the big(ger than turning a knob, at least) physical movement can provide a visual cue to the audience that can help accentuate the tone shift, especially if I'm leaning/moving into the field which can take a while and be relatively subtle. Using a theremin as a CV control in place of an expression pedal is by no means in my experience always a good idea. But it is an option, and sometimes it's a workable one in my experience. best, Steve B Subscape Annex http://ww.subscapeannex.com/
