Well... I bet you're thoroughly confused now, eh?  I think the best bet is to trust your ears.  And equipment is like guitars etc... a good player can make bad stuff sound good and a bad player can make good stuff sound bad.  Based on what I heard on your web site - you'll make whatever sound good.
