The latest edition of Audioxpress magazine has an interesting article on
building switching circuits for pedal boards but I don't think you can
switch the order of effects or their signal input and output levels like 
you
would be able to do with, probably the most sophisticated and expensive
switching device I know of, the Switchblade. For simple in out/bypass
switching this article would meet your needs though.
