Folks, Glad you found 'fweelin-edit-config' in the new DMG. My mail has been down for some time, but I'd like to answer Per's other question Re: Sync. >>> Ok thanks, JP. I think I'll dive into the hidden Mac file area and edit something to have the MIDI Clock sent out into the OSX IAC Bus instead. You see, I'd like to sync Logic's tempo after Freewheeling because I use Logic as a sound palette for my EWI. Hmm... I guess I'd need to also edit something to make Freewheeling taking its input from a Jack bus? And then I'll send Logic's audio output into that Jack bus. >>> You can control where the MIDI clock is sent to, but it must be one of Freewheeling's outputs (Freewheeling creates virtual MIDI sources that other apps, such as Logic and Live, can connect to). So, pick an output, configure it in the config file, and enable sync. I'm not sure how the IAC Bus works in OS X. Will this solution work for you? To link up your Logic audio output to Freewheeling should be simple. Make sure Jack is started, and set Logic to send to "Jack Router". Start Freewheeling. In Jack Pilot, you should see ports appear for Logic and Freewheeling. Double click from Logic's audio outputs to Freewheeling's inputs. By default, there are 4 inputs- 2 mono and 1 stereo left/right pair. This can be changed in the config file. You can save your routing configuration in Jack Pilot. Under Linux, I have scripts that hook up several soft-synths and FX to FreeWheeling, so that I can start the whole setup easily in a live situation.
