He had built a dynamical system, using an Atari computer (yes, that long ago) and a self-written C program that analyzed the volume and resonance levels and was able to react and control autonomously, turning feedback down, or introducing loops of different lengths in order to change the resonances. It was quite amazing. Maybe you can use PD or Max to develop something similar. -Michael
