Buzap - I'm working on the same issue for the same reasons! I'll be taking my RC-2, microphone, and new sound system suit (under construction) to Burning Man in a few weeks. Right now I'm just using a dynamic (SM-58) or battery-powered (AKG-1000) mic with a mic/line transformer directly in the 1/4" or 1/8" jacks. It's not great, but it does work. For your mixing needs, Rolls was already mentioned but try the PM50sob. It's sold as a headphone amp, but for what you want it seems like it would work well. And it's small. http://www.music123.com/Rolls-PM50s-Personal-Monitor-Amp-483854-i1145960.Music123 Also, there's some "field mixers" that come on eBay every so often for amazingly cheap, probably because they're generally listed for video use rather than musical use. I saw a used 3-channel XLR belt-clip 9v mixer go for $60 last week! Best o' luck!
