Just a quick tip:
It needs just a few mouse clicks to delete every post of a certain  
subject line. This is how you do:

- With one of the "crap" posts selected, click on the column header  
"Subject" to group all "crap" posts together.
- With the shift key held down, click on the first and the last  
"crap" post to select all of them.
- Hit the delete button.

This works in any local email client if subscribing to separate mails.
