EDP footpedal weirdness

when I tap on the EDP Insert button often and quickly (or sometimes not 
even
quickly) it sometimes triggers Overdub and sometimes Multiply, and 
sometimes
it even jumps into the parameter config section. Can this be due to some
exotic parameter setting (I'm currently experimenting a lot and it is still
confusing) or does this happen with the EDP footpedal?
