Interesting,
Henry Kaiser was using that effect in 1984 on his Solo Guitar album (now 
playing).
Makes a lot more sense hearing it to know how he was doing that.

So

How much interest would there be for a vst plug-in that did that effect?  

ie, delay with square wave modulation.
