Actually, if I'd get a compressor, I'd probably get one of the FMR
compressors:
- FMR RNC ("Really nice compressor") 1773:

The RNC is supposed to be more neutral, the RNLA is supposed to add a
warmer sound to it. They seem to be very attractive in their price range
(200,-EUR). But I don't want to start a "compressor battle" here.
And while we're at it with warm sound and tossing out money, we might also
add a nice Rode NTK condenser mic (ca. 500EUR) to it with one of the
previously discussed pre-amps.
Or simply a nice channel strip with vintage components...
Does Santa have these on the Northpole? ;-))
