The reason for that I like the sound of multiple loops when the loops are of different lengths and also get rate/speed shifted in real-time to instantly create new poly rhythms and sound shape colors. Having said this, I want to repeat here what I said in my LInearity Thread post: It's really slow to work many loops in a performance, so it kind of fits better with music that is complex in sound but not in the scoring/compositional department.
