PCMCIA Firewire adapter

Hello all,

I want to run Mobius and Ableton on a Windows XP laptop with my  
firewire audio interface, but the laptop doesn't have firewire.  I've  
heard the the PCMCIA cards with firewire don't work very well.  Is  
anyone using one successfully, or do you know if they have problems?
