Cara, I'm immensely flattered, thanks for all the nice words. Especially, thanks for coming out to two shows and being great company! Heh...my acrobatics involved starting my first tune with a foot on a chair, which I often do for instrumental tunes since I can prop up the guitar a bit closer to my face for the more intricate stuff. But halfway through, I felt inspired to rock out, and stood up on both feet. The resulting pull on my strap was enough to make it pop off my axe, sending it careening in the direction of the floor. I tried to reorient myself with a foot on the chair, but instead gave it a real good kick, sending it out of reach. I was lucky enough to snag a few right-hand fingers on the strings to prevent my Takamine from gouging a divot in the stage floor, did a little hop over to the now-distant chair, and after what seemed an eternity of clawing-at-catgut sounds and general laughter from those assembled, managed to put two hands on the guitar at the same time and finished my wrecked tune. Great way to start! I'll echo that Echo Curio is a super-supportive place, I recommend it highly to anyone wishing to loop live in LA. I'm trying to keep up on a regular tour diary here...http://www.swanwelder.com/blog/blog.htm thanks again Cara...! Daryl Shawn www.swanwelder.com www.chinapaintingmusic.com
