I just need them sometimes. And besides, it's easier to carry a small 
footboard and put the expression pedal into a backpack.

@Zoe:
Concerning your FCB1010 in black: I've noticed that, when you are playing 
in the dark, it is sometimes harder to hit the right black pedal on a 
black surface. Just a thought.
