Funny that you guys should mention more cowbell.............. funny and synchronous. I'm currently working very dilligently on mixing a brand new piece of abstract electronica that is 43 minutes long called................yes, that's right, 'MORE COWBELL' It, of course, is in D minor and is very, very loud. In fact, I can't remember quite how loud it is but I recorded it all the way at the top of my Peavey digitally modelled 'Spinal Tap' 30th Anniversay Gold Edition amplifier (so cute with it's 10' replica of stonehedge on top of it) I'm also glad you mentioned it because , now in the final mixing stages I have this nagging fear that the 22 different cowbells I recorded are not ..................well........................loud enough. Do you have suggestions about how I can get each one louder than the others but still be able to hear each one clearly. Did I mention that I want it really, really, headbanging loud? I definitely think that 50-1 compression on the final mix will help with this but do you all have other ideas how to make this as loud as is conceivably possible? thanks.
