When I started live-looping, the Presonus was too slow for what I wanted to do. I switched to an RME interface and can run with latencies as low as 10ms. In normal use, I set the buffer sizes to achieve a latency around 13ms. The bottleneck (for me) is the PCI bus and firewire port. I have plenty of CPU power and memory -- but that !@#%^&*$ PCI bus is a headache. I would much prefer to utilize a desktop computer however a laptop is manageable when I go out to play. Why a desktop? Because I can choose/upgrade perepherals. Laptops are cast in stone. For now, I have learned how to work around the limitations of my computer. -- Kevin
