If you feel that you "want more info" I would say that you will probably be able to build almost anything looper-wise that you might want. Even the old, pre Max-in-Live, version of Ableton Live was very open. I used it a lot until four years ago (when I got hold of a PC to run Mobius) but I did not like that I always had to run Live as the sync master. At the Zürich Loopfest for example I ran my EDP synced to Live 5 and combining wobbly Augustus Loop (mashed by MIDI loops in Live, same theory I migrated to Mobius by scripting) stuff with the more structured EDP looping. Not long a go, on a rainy day, I tested just for fun to build most of the classic EDP functions in Live 7 for Augustus Loop, by routing the signal around and setting up triggable MIDI loops with the data that controlled the loopers. And now, with Max-in-Live, you get even more control plus first-loop-tempo capability. Do you still "want more info"? ;-)) Greetings from Sweden Per Boysen www.boysen.se www.perboysen.com On Fri, Jan 16, 2009 at 9:01 AM, L.Angulo <labaloops@yahoo.com> wrote: > wow, cool never used live becuase it was missing this feature but now >yes! > "so you can record, overdub, undo and more using a single footswitch" > yes but i want more info!!! > > www.myspace.com/luisangulocom > > > --- On Thu, 1/15/09, Tilmann Dehnhard <tilmann@dehnhard.com> wrote: > >> From: Tilmann Dehnhard <tilmann@dehnhard.com> >> Subject: Re: live 8 has a looper! >> To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com >> Date: Thursday, January 15, 2009, 2:40 PM >> YES!!! >> >> Os schrieb: >> > from the press release: >> > >> > * Looper >> > A much-requested feature, the Ableton Looper effect is >> classic >> > sound-on-sound looping without the limitations of a >> hardware device. >> > Looper is set up for remote operation, so it's >> possible to record, >> > overdub and more without touching the computer.
