Regardless of presence of dual inputs, the question of whether the stereo image is maintained is still unanswered.  Recall that the DL-4 has stereo in/out, but the looper feature is mono.  Also, wasn't the original JamMan that way?

Yes, the original JamMan is that way. It will pass a stereo image through, but the looped (or delayed) parts come out mono to both outs. I still use a pair of 32 sec. JamMans as my main loopers.
