Re: OT: Pay royalties for own music on own website?

you do not need to pay for your own material. have never received anything from mcps about this matter.

you need to pay around 100 pounds at the very beginnign to become a member. in the first year, they only send you 1 form about your royalties. by the end of first year, they start to send forms every 3 months. they collect royalties from ASCAP and the whole world. also they could collect royalties from 2 years back.

they are very picky about new members. you need to publish a number of works internationally to become a member.

very nice deal.

best.

Sounds good that MCPS/PRS do this work when your stuff is played
somewhere, but do you have to pay royalties for your own stuff on own
website when a member of MCPS/PRS?
I have no idea how it's done here in DK; will make an inquiry..
