Looping guitarist, David Kirkdorffer, The Boston area's chief promoter of the Live Looping movement, ambient artist, Dennis Moser and myself were all interviewed for a nice introductory article on the Live Looping movement for the Boston Globe (along with Imogen Heap, Joseph Arthur and other luminaries). This might be the first major, prestigious metropolis newspaper to run an article on live looping which makes me happy and excited for all of us and the weird shit we do (is it?). Boston journalist Adam Conner-Simons was a joy to interview with and was really genuinely interested in the subject matter. I want to congratulate him on a job well done. This movement is so diverse and complex that it is difficult to do a relatively short article on it that does justice to it. I thought he did a fine job with a small amount of space. I'd like to also extend an invitation to all the Boston loopers to come participate at the Y2K9 International Live Looping Festival this year. Please write me off list if you'd like the details of this invitation. You too, Adam (who is a budding looper himself, I believe)!
