A friend of mine works on the SXSW selection committee, and he said that he likes that people can goof up their myspace pages because it provides a quick indicator that you're a probably a bozo who spends too much time tweaking your page and not enough on the actual "music" end of things.

And yes, put a link to your personal website if you want to go all crazy on the design.
