Re: OT - Portland, SLC, El Paso venues

it's a total blast to play.  nothing better than playing in front of naked people painted silver and all the 60's rainbow gypsies you ever imagined.  I loved it.

and the post show jams are legendary

the Oregon Country Fair is one enormous experiment in everything.  Outside of Eugene Oregon.  Probably already booked, but nothing's too experimental there as long as the music has appeal.

I'm starting to book a big tour of the States (and a wee bit of Canada) for the summer. I'll have more of these annoying requests as I work my way through the map, but for now, I wondered if anyone has any insight into loop/experimental-friendly venues in Portland OR, Salt Lake City UT, or El Paso TX (gulp).
