Michael,

You haven't asked about distortion yet, but I followed your link,
poked around a bit, and was pleasantly surprised to find "distorto" a
bitrman style vst, something I've been looking for.

I sold my bitrman long ago, so I can't compare the vst to the
original, but I had fun playing with it. The download link on the site
is broken, but this one works:
