Sorry, I forgot the promo web site list..I think Vimeo has the best quality audio. It's stereo anyway. :)

Scott, thanks for your kind words but none of the audio in anything I have on the web was recorded from speakers. I strictly run direct off my chain of gizmos to a 4 ch Behringer mixer then to a minidisk and my computer running Audacity. All of the amp models are from a RP 250 these days because it's cheap!
I use the amp or small monitors or headphones only for my listening. I am not using the amp now because I'm back to stereo. It does kick ass when jamming with friends though. And it is the 180w model. How they arrive rating at that I wouldn't know...

best,

Jeff

Subject: OT: cheap sub woofer?

-about a month and a 1/2 ago i think i posed this question, b/c i wasn't happy w/ the "bass" response in my small 8" speaker amps (12 watt kustom & 10 watt marshall). there were times when i could hear the bass response just really crapping out, since i usually tune down a whole step to D (i've debated trying a small bass amp too). i had a nice discussion w/ jeff duke and he said that he uses a behringer ultratone keyboard amp that has a 12" speaker (can't remember wattage-maybe 90?). i watched a couple of his vid performances in his studio (jeff post them, i can't remember site off hand), and i thought his sound was great/amazing even coming over my tiny computer speakers...
-it reminded me of yrs ago, back in '94 i tested a peavey tele and the small store had a 50 watt pa head-wow, that was an amazing sound,. so clear and crisp!
so the next time one of my amps craps out, i'm going to get something w/ a bigger speaker (i'm thinking small wattage 12" speaker hopefully).
-oh-& there was a review done by craig anderton in a GP a yr or 2 ago about how he uses some portable PA system for his live playing. it's lighter than a big tube amp & he liked the sound (i can't remember the brand, but i remember looking up the thing after the review and saw it was way over my price budget-i thought close to 1000$).
-2 months ago i bought and tested a crate v20 (now discontinued i think) tube amp, 20 watts w/ 12" speaker. it sounded great, but in my little studio IT WAS WAY TOO LOUD!!! great bass sound though i thought. i took it back and decided to be happy w/ my smaller amps.
happy searching...always searching for the best tone...neverending.......
