That seems to be, what you are looking for, isnīt it? (the fx version!)I found it here, there will be maybe other solutions for you:
I didnot try any of them, cause ableton live has a simple sampler (simpler) on board, where you can easily drop a sample you just recorded. hope that helps, Omid

This is partly why I have a
repeater. I can record sounds on a track
with 0 volume and play them with my m-audio trigger finger,
sending
both pitch and volume with the touch sensitive pads.
I'd think you
could find a software equivalent, but if not, I've had a
lot of fun
with this setup.

There are zillions of fancy vst effects and
instruments out there for free,
but nothing like what I want. Any ideas where to
look?
I want a Windows VST sample recorder/player, not just
a sample player but
something very simple that can record live input audio
and then on a click
simply spread it across the keyboard to play with it
polyphonically. I
thought this is not too much to ask but apparently
nobody needs something
like this. It doesn't even have to be able to save the
samples or load them,
or do anything fancy. Samplers like Kontakt are way
too complex and big, I
thought of something really basic and small (and free,
of course). But I
couldn't find anything.
