Yep that’s correct, they sound
amazing BTW. A truly unique instrument that has a curved fretted fingerboard
and is meant to be bowed, the sound is very warm and woody, and dare I say
cello-like in timbre. Its an ideal instrument for a guitarist wanting to get in
to the world of bowed instruments, or a cellist wanting to get more chordal and
guitar-like. It aint cheap by guitar standards but it’s a bargain by
classical cello standards. Small portable and fits in one of those cool coffin
cases. The proprietary pickups sound wonderful and can handle any kind of
volume or signal processing without feedback issues. I got to hear it when Erdem
first got it and I was floored by the sound. bill From: Todd Matthews
[mailto:gtmatthews@gmail.com] Hey Zoe, I think he is referring to the Guitar viols by Jonathan Wilson. He
makes a cello model that is actually tuned like like a 5 string bass but it is
an octave higher outting it in the 'cello range' Scroll to the bottom and there is a video of him playing his guitar
cello model. It sounds pretty awesome. Todd Matthews On Mon, May 18, 2009 at 6:07 PM, (what is a cello guitar?) On May 18, 2009, at 1:55 PM, Erdem Helvacioglu wrote:
hey, so sorry that this is
off topic. but today i tried the millennia stt-1 micpreamp ( with high
impedance instrument input. ) wow! this is the greatest, most transparent
preamp that i have ever heard. incredible. my new cello guitar came to life. it
was as though i became a cellist :) if you get chance,
please do yourself a favor and try this unit. it seems that it will work great
with guitar, bass, vocals, drums etc. thanks and best. Erdem Helvacioglu "wounded breath
