I am connecting directly to the computer. I will try out the usb1 device and see how that goes.

1 second of latency for a USB device is insanely slow, there must be

something wrong.  Even at USB 1.0 speeds, people with USB keyboards

don't have to wait a second between key presses.  It's hard to say

what's wrong, it could be the device, it could be a driver conflict.

Are you going through a USB hub or connecting directly to the

computer?
