I just went and watched the NAMM demo of that
Pomona 6 Multibender lapsteel you mentioned.   It
looks incredible.   Thanks for mentioning it here.

The multibenders allowing you to shift keys and
the built in rolling capo make it an amazingly versatile instruments

What would such a beast set back a Recession challenged American?
