I've played the Pomona and it is really cool, however for shear sound, the Asher electro Hawaiian, with its chambered mahogany body sounds bigger, more low end, etc, though I loved the palm bender bars, the over all placement of the controls is a major disappointment for me. It has this really cool short throw tone control that allows for quick wah wah type tone swells, but the control itself is tucked back behind the bridge in such a way that you can't get at it quickly and the palm levers are in the way. I don't know why they couldn't have moved all of the controls further up toward the headstock making both the volume and tone controls with in reach of the finger tips as you play? That was a bit curious. The sliding capo is a cool innovation, though I use one of these, on my laps steel http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Accessories/Capos,_slides/Beard_Dobro_Capo.html , and they work well Bill -----Original Message----- From: Rick Walker [mailto:looppool@cruzio.com] Sent: Saturday, July 04, 2009 4:30 PM To: LOOPERS DELIGHT (posting) Subject: re: MY NEW TOY Wow, Luis, I just went and watched the NAMM demo of that Pomona 6 Multibender lapsteel you mentioned. It looks incredible. Thanks for mentioning it here. The multibenders allowing you to shift keys and the built in rolling capo make it an amazingly versatile instruments What would such a beast set back a Recession challenged American? Rick
