Thanks Matthias, "Why do we do all this?" Well, my answers: I only have one sister, but I was so happy when I found out that I had many muscial brothers sharing the same passion :) That's one of the social aspects I really like about this community. In addition to that, I believe live looping can add some magic to your music and has the potential to become a sort of 4th dimension and be the virtual musician you can but also can't control. I personally like to create constantly flowing music which is never the same, musical paintings you build up from scratch, slowly adding new content while fading out others. It allows you to play the unplayed tunes and textures which makes it a very powerful composition tool imo. We haven't met each other in person but I like your ideas about live looping and I think it's important to promote it. Not because if the technique itself, but as I explained because of the 4th dimension. I believe the technique is only interesting for musicians, and the public is only interested in the music. Anyway, I like this community and I'll continue to promote it with organizing live looping festivals. So there will be a 2nd edition of the Antwerp Live Looping festival in March 2010.
