Re: anti-looper bigots

Love the Slayer story Kevin as well as the church forbidden 'tri-tones' and to take that further when I was a freshman music major studying first year theory according to Paul Hindemith, we were instructed to avoid parallel fifths in all of our assignments, strangely that was the writing on the wall for me and was to become my favorite interval in so many directions.

My own mother, as much as I love and respect her once said to me, 'do you think anybody will really like your music?'.

Artistic rejection is a tough nut and hard to take yet most of us who create beyond the walls of our bedroom, deal with risk for the kernal of light or praise or realization that some soul was touched by what we were expressing.

I have a solo fretless guitar improv video on YouTube that I've taken a lot of flack on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvk2lQTxgUs&feature=channel_page .  When I began to kind of vent on one that got to me to my son he said, 'they won Dad (meaning they got a raz out of you) but at least they took the time to listen'.  I try to remember the latter before reacting anymore.

The cool thing about this thread and Kyle's coming here to LD to start it is, the trust and support this community has the potential to give and for me personally that often means a lot.

Good day to all.
