Re: Let's put together a Loopers Delight compilation of original works!

Yeah, I was speaking about an online mp3 compilation, something that can be put online on www.disc-shelf.com
I choose Disc Shelf not only because it is my project, but because it provides sleek design, so that all the albums can
look very beautiful.

If the response to this idea is positive and a lot of people would want their track, we can do this - make several compilations.
Limit the number of tunes in each compilation to, say, 15-20. Also, perhaps we can try to not have much quality control and see
where it leads us. If a musician submits one tune, surely he'll give us his best.

That way anyone who wants can participate. Once the albums are available, we can share this music with friends and fans all over the
world, which might strike more interest to looping music with good examples readily available.

Great idea, Louigi!
As I think the loopers delight-community contains several 100s of loopers, it will be difficult to select the best of all the tunes
if you wanna put it on CD.
Or do you think of an MP 3 compilation or just something for the internet for downloading?
That might be  better as you could put a lot more songs on it.
Anyway, I certainly would like to provide a track.
Can I send you an MP3-file?

Hey guys!

As I understand, most of the people from this mailing list are musicians. And great musicians too!

So what I propose is to try to set up a compilation together - as a certain result, an output of this community.
We can all submit tunes (you can send them to me with an email subject "For compilation"), make cover art
and put it online.

I can suggest my own resource for that - Disc Shelf (www.disc-shelf.com) - which can host the files and actually
present the compilation quite beautifully.

the album can then be embedded onto the website and such, so might be quite useful.

Anyway, this is my proposal - tell me what you think!
