The first run of products they did (including their first composer
compressor), released some 20 years ago, were made in Germany - and
that was at a time where the fact that Germany was about to turn
communist was not felt in production quality.
Sorry, however, to hear that you had issues with one of these early
devices - most of them have continued to outlive their younger
siblings.
