You mean, playing loops in the streets,
right?
I did it a while ago. Guitar- Instrumentals, looping. Only
once, cause I got problems here
in Cologne with the city-watchers. For buskers itīs not
allowed to use amplification outside.
Reactionwise it was pretty poor. But Iīd try it again. Now
from time to time I play Blues and other
cover songs in the traditional way (just acoustic guitar,
harp etc.). Itīs fun.
But Iīve seen 2 girls on the
street, one singing, one playing electric guitar and
using loops (before the city personel came...) and it
looked like they
got more attention for their music. I think as a
busker you get more attention
when itīs more than one musician and if youre singing. And
you have to be good.
So you definetely should try it. Good experience
anyway.
