a bit off topic: earplugs , and bass tunings

dear loopers

i love reading the posts and thx for all the
amazing advice i've gotten so far.

this is a bit off topic but does anyone have
suggestions for good earplugs that don't kill
the lows or highs.

i've gotten personal earplugs where they take
a mold of your ear etc but the plugs seemed to
definitely effect frequency hearing.  anyone have
a pair they recommend.

also does anyone have any recommendations
on tuning a bass in 5ths?  i am a cellist and thinking
of tuning the e down to a c but don't want it to
send too flabby.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
