Yes, it's the feedback issue that got me on to the Wavedrum in the first place. It's far and away the most expressive electronic drum I've ever used. I didn't like the Handsonic - it feels like a block of rubber to me whereas this is a real, expressive instrument in its own right.
I'm so glad Korg have revisited the Wavedrum and it's quite affordable too, (£399 in the UK). I don't need another but I'll be having a go when they're in the shops - just out of curiosity.

Yeah, I 've just discovered the new Wavedrum on the korg page yesterday. Really seems fantastic and could save the trouble micing percussion for livelooping (good-bye feedback! :)

Does anyone know if there is any MIDI percussion controller on the market that provides as good dynamic control as these two "boxed" instruments? It would be cool to use with software based patch libraries.
