Yes, it's the feedback issue that got me on to the Wavedrum in the first place. It's far and away the most expressive electronic drum I've ever used. I didn't like the Handsonic - it feels like a block of rubber to me whereas this is a real, expressive instrument in its own right. I'm so glad Korg have revisited the Wavedrum and it's quite affordable too, (£399 in the UK). I don't need another but I'll be having a go when they're in the shops - just out of curiosity. Per, you might find the Manadala drum interesting: http://synesthesiacorp.com/ The software that the mandala uses is free to download.. peace Gareth On Fri, Sep 18, 2009 at 8:39 AM, Buzap Buzap <buzap@gmx.net> wrote:
It seems less expensive than the Handsonic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDvSXmSHKKE ...but is it better? (most concerned with expressiveness of the user interface, slides, damping, beam and ribbon ctrls etc) (Related:) Does anyone know if there is any MIDI percussion controller on the market that provides as good dynamic control as these two "boxed" instruments? It would be cool to use with software based patch libraries. Greetings from Sweden Per Boysen www.boysen.se www.perboysen.com View your other email accounts from your Hotmail inbox. Add them now. |
