Oktober 2009, 20:08 yup saw that. metal switches again. i don't need the feedback you get from a sprung switch and really want something more tactile. seems like there are so many soft pressure switches on the market. i'm excited about a custom job! got lots of replies to my twitter posts about it today. i'm thinking 12 pads in 2 rows that are about 1.5 to 2 inches square and fully customizable so i can send MIDI notes, PC messages, OSC and/or computer keys. while i'm in fantasy land....the ability to change the "bank" of the pedal with my Kbow...and each pad will light up with 1 of 4 colors to tell me what bank i'm in. not cheap...but possibly worth it. I worte Jeff about the switches since i was concerned about their loudness but he said they are a lot more quiet than in the video because the microphone was place very close to it. check out the other videos as well, you might also ask him if he could customize some switches for you he seems very open, though this unit is not cheap! cheers www.myspace.com/luisangulocom --- Zoe Keating <info@zoekeating.com> schrieb am Mo, 26.10.2009: Von: Zoe Keating <info@zoekeating.com> Betreff: monome as foot controller An: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com Datum: Montag, 26. Oktober 2009, 13:41 I just had another switch break on an FCB1010 and it started sending junk data...just like my last three FCB1010s (p.s. I have the Uno firmware and no I don't want a Ground Control or anything w/ awful metal switches) I'm DONE with this pedal. I'd like to find a maker-whiz to build me a custom pedal from a monome kit. One thing I'd like is those same translucent silicone rubber pads but LARGE (between 1.5 inches and 2 inches square). Has anyone ever seen any anywhere and know where to source them? thanks much, Zoe
