I thought you were talking audio. Sorry. Merging MIDI in Cycle recording is essential! Look up to the left and open the menu "Settings/Recording". In that window you can set your preferences for how Logic will deal with overlapping MIDI recordings. I personally like it best to "Merge only in Cycle record". > Nope I CANT be bother with this... Or rather, I zoom once and then I lock that zoom level to a new screen set, like at key "2" if I ususally work in screen set "1". So I just hit the 1 and 2 keys instead of bothering with the tedious zoom function. It's just because work so much in Logic and have to stay sane... ;-) > Whats the key combo to switch between pencil (create a midi note) and the > arrow... Pressing down "cmd" calls up Secondary Tool. This is the tool you chose in the little box and drop-down menu at the upper right corner of any window (arrange, piano roll, score etc....) After you have chosen your preferred Secondary Tool you should lock the screen set for Logic to remember that setting. (shift L, or top menu with mouse). You may have different tools pre configured as your Secondary Tool of choice for different work spaces to make it easier as you work. You may also use the right mouse button to drop down a context menu with the tools available for the window you are working in. If you want that you go to "Preferences/General/Editing" and chose what to drop down under the right mouse button. One useful setting there is "Assignable to a tool", because then you get three quick access tools when working in the windows. Tool 1: Simply press down left mouse button (pointer tool, maybe?) Tool 2: Pen tool Tool 3: Scissors tool ...or just change them three tools and lock the screen set for whatever the working situation is. > > But anyway.. music out of logic sounds lovely... so thats nice! Some people believe that is the purpose of the application. Nighty nighty... per
