I'm the music director at a campus/community radio station (CJSW in Calgary). I would say that you would want to explore this realm of terrestrial radio. On my own station there are four shows fairly dedicated to this kind of music, as well as a number of mixed block programmers who spin ambient material during their shows. Not all c/c stations have this kind of programming - for the most part (but definitely not exclusively) stations in larger markets spin "crazier" stuff. Usually a stations charts are a good reflection of the kinds of music that they spin.
