Hi Raul, EnergyXt is windows, mac and linux. Another good feature is that you can pop it onto a memory stick and carry the whole program with data around with you to run on othr peoples machines - cool feature. It loads incredibly quickly too. I'm actually thinking of dumping Cubase as a platform for recorded compositions in favour of XT. The developers are quick to respond to users requests too..
Peace

hi gareth,
energy xt in vst form is not compiled for osx, only windows, isn't? i might have read that somewhere ...
i arrived to a similar port with thesys, a kind of step sequencer in steroids.

In case anyone's interested. I've taken the plunge with EnergyXT and I musit say I'm delighted with it. I can now run a number of instances of XT with different tempi as VST plugins within audiomulch giving me massive midi capability. It allows me to cross fade between compltetely differnt pieces easily. It lends itself very nicely to midi control of playback etc and it's very stable despite me throwing all I can at it. Changing loop lengths crazily etc. I've hardly looked at the manual too - very intuitive.. Date: Mon, 8 Feb 2010 08:36:23 -0500 Subject: RE: Energy XT anyone?
Just yesterday I looked again at using it as a VST in Bidule to
play loops of CCs, which would be sent to VST instruments and effects. However,
I have to say that I find the program really clumsy. Also, it does not present
transport controls to the host, so it seemed impossible to use selectively except
via switching from processing to bypass. But I may decide that is acceptable,
in which case my plan as of last night was to create the cc files in Cubase and
then load them in EnergyXT.
The potential use of the program for playing MIDI files, in my
case solely for ccs, is the only purpose I’ve ever had in mind.

Hey guys,
Is anyone here using energy XT as part of their laptop looping rig?

Two
new technologies I've come across allow music listening to be more of an
'active' rather than a passive listening experience - RjDj and MXP4.
But
two questions come to mind:
As
a musician, what do you think about them?
As a music listener, what do you think about them?
Personally,
I'm intregued by the possibilities. If I was a 14 year old kid today, I'd be
all over this stuff. But, something special about the uniqueness of a mix is
surely lost.
What
do you think?
