well...you could always check out the ones Bill uses ;-)

You couldn't go much wrong by just getting the biggest Genelecs
you can afford.


That's a rather small budget for serious speakers.
What'll make a lot of difference is if you spend a lot
of time listening to music you like on whatever speakers
before starting to rely on them.



I'd wouldn't recommend a sub, as I'm guessing you've
got zero budget for acoustic treatment of your room,
...and in any case good subs are *very* pricey,
while a bad one won't help you at all.
