Yes, this functionality is available using automap, which was included with my (now for sale) Zero.

remotely control a rotary LED knob to keep it in sync with the looper
if something changes there.

? i think this is possible with the last automap sw included in most of their recent controllers ... i can remotely control those rotary leds on the nocturn (USB not regular MIDI interface). don't know if novation zero comes with automap though...
