Re: Macbook Pro 2.26GHz OK for Audio Recording?

Paul probably good idea re a new one the 13" I think is @1400 if you can swing.  At the time I was limited to a 1K budget and this 17 came along which has been great as verbalized save the screen.  However it is as pointed out limited to 2 gig which OS X has been better mem manager for my money prior to Win 7.  NOw that MS has released a 64 bit OS given the hardware for it it's a better world for them.  My son has a new PC we buitl over Xmas with 64 bit compliant parts and it's pretty cool box with Win 7 64.  That said I still favor OS X with my 2 gig however the newer INtel MBP's as Jeff pointed come with and can handle I think up to 8 gig correct me if wrong here.

In end all depends on much cash you can budget for this box.

I just bought a 13" MBP with a 2.53 GHz processor. It comes standard with 4 GB of memory. I think you might consider doing the same. It's worth the extra cash for the extra processor speed and memory, imho.
