RE: EDP pro voltage problems
I have one that acted pretty erratically and kept blowing fuses. The
problem was completely resolved by sticking a furman power conditioner
in the rack. I think it is just especially sensitive to surges.
Hope that helps,
Ace

Subject: EDP pro voltage problems
Hi,
I'm back to the list with an uncommon EDP problem that I'd like to
get some feedback on. I use a blackface Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro
Plus with the original analog footpedal for about one year now and I
seem to have problems with it that are so infrequent and irregular
that I attribute them to the condition under which it is running - be
it proper grounding or maybe lack of sufficient AC power. Like on one
gig of a tour in January it worked totally crazy and unpredictable,
on the other four gigs it worked flawlessly....like the ghost in the
haunted machine (and my haunted mind!).
Has any EDP user experienced similar things? I myself have never had
this with my older beige Obie before. Oh, and I'm in Europe, so it's
230/240V. On one of the rare occasions when this happended at home
last week I measured 229V on my house line, which still seems
reasonable (we usually have around 236V here).
Thanks for your input, Andreas
